Yes, if Bush wanted to go into Iraq to "liberate the people" then why wasn't this the banner reason for going into Iraq?

Bush went with the WMDs decision as the main reason for going, along with the fact that he may hand the WMDs over to someone who would use them, like Al-Qaida.

He didn't have any concrete proof, and lied about stuff to get the American people to back his war, and then he completely sidestepped the United Nations.

Then when we took Saddam's regime to the shed, it turned out there were no WMDs, and there was no Iraq-Al-Qaida connection, and then to save face, Bush proclaimed "Well, we're liberating Iraqis."

Not to mention, Halliburton (who doesn't see the need to pay taxes and gets around it through offshore tax havens) is robbing Iraq blind, and Bush is just standing there allowing it.

That's my beef with the war, anyway.
